Gramonnati Digital Literacy Drive For Children
Gramonnati, a not for profit organization, with a vision to transform rural India through technology and entrepreneurship, continues to do yeomen service in educating children in digital literacy in Jabalpur. The second batch of Digital Literacy and Digital Financial Literacy was completed and the Certificate Presentation Ceremony was held at the Gramonnati Kendra in LS Jha Model School, Jabalpur on 10 Jan 18.
The Gramonnati Kendra which was established in the premises of LS Jha Model School, Jabalpur on 26 Jan 18, commenced it Digital Literacy and Digital financial Literacy courses on 01 May 18 with 23 students. The journey continues slowly but surely with the completion of the second batch of the students receiving their certificates on Thursday, 10 Jan 19. It was a proud day for the students when they received their certificates from Smt Arpita Kaswa, Principal Asha School, Jabalpur in a simple but elegant ceremony.
The aim of these courses is to spread digital literacy at a very low cost to children and introduce them to a digital world. In a short span of three months, these children have not only become proficient in handling computers but have also been introduced to the intricacies of digital financial transactions. They have learned the use of apps like Bhim, Google Pay, PayTm etc which will make them, their families, neighborhood and school move towards cash less way of life.
It was also a proud moment for the Udyam Trainees of Gramonnnati, who had put their heart and soul in training these children. Smt Arpita Kaswa congratulated the children and Gramonnati for becoming ambassadors of change in the city and the country. She expressed happiness on this small but significant step in the direction towards a cashless India.
