Gramonnati completes Ist batch of digital literacy
GRAMONNATI, with a vision to transform rural India through technology and entrepreneurship, reached its first milestone by conducting the certificate presentation ceremony for its first batch of Digital Literacy and Financial Literacy Courses on Monday at their Kendra situated at Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence.
The Gramonnati Kendra which was established in the premises of LS Jha Model School, Jabalpur on January 26, 2018, commenced its first course on Digital Literacy and Digital financial Literacy on May 01, 2018 with 23 students. Monday was a proud day for the students when they received their certificates from Girish Miral, Lecturer, LS Jha Model School in a simple but elegant ceremony.
The aim of these courses is to spread digital literacy at very low cost to children and introduce them to a digital world.
In a short span of three months these children have not only become proficient in handling computers but have also been introduced to the intricacies of digital financial transactions.
They have learnt the use of apps like Bhim, Tez, PayTm etc which will make them, their families, neighbourhood and school move towards a cash less way of life. It was also a proud moment for the Udyam Trainees of Gramonnnati, who had put their heart and soul in training these children. Miral congratulated the children and Gramonnati for becoming ambassadors of change in the city and the country.
He expressed happiness on this small but significant step in the direction towards a cash-less India.
